General elections in Bangladesh must be held within 90 days of the expiration of the Parliament. Since the ninth parliament expires on December 29, 2013, Article 123 of the Constitution of Bangladesh requires general elections to be held by March 29, 2014[1] or earlier if the parliament is dissolved before its term expires.
